A group of Filipino children pose for a picture in the Philippines in 1944

Gift of John M. Lynes Sr., from the Collection of The National WWII Museum
Description:

A group of Filipino children pose for a picture. "The group of children here is another typical feature of the Philippines. The kids are in evidence everywhere and due to wartime conditions are in all stages of dress from absolutely no clothes at all to frilly dresses for the girls and complete suits for the boys. Much of the clothing has been made from cast-off GI clothes, and it is not uncommon to see all sorts of children's garments made from material used in the GI camouflage suits." Philippines 1944
