Joseph J. Moran enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 1940 in Alabama. In April 1942 he served in the PTO in communication and telephone construction. Moran saw service on numerous Pacific islands during the war beginning with New Caledonia in 1942 ended his Pacific service in the Philippines. In April 1945 he was sent to San Francisco, California and discharged on 29 May 1945. Moran died in July 1989.
The collection follows Moran's service from Fort Bragg in 1941 to the Pacific in 1942.
