American engineers work to build a bridge. Official caption: "ETO HQ 45 2462 24 Feb. Credit U.S. Army Signal Corps. Photog...T/3 Heimberger [Illegible]. First Army engineers connect two sections of treadway bridging, while overhead a quickway crane swings a new ponton [sic] into position during an attempt to span the Roer River on second day of Cologne drive.
