"Top of the Nuuanu Pali Drive Road on left leads downward with 60 odd hairpin turns. From this spot King Kamahameha and his army of Hawaiians defeated the army of the Oahuans by forcing them to jump off the edge of the cliff 300 years ago so the marker says." Oahu, Hawaii, c.1944
