Civilian refugees (probably the Chamorro/Chamoru people) from Tinian about to climb aboard a U.S. Navy LCT [Landing Craft, Tank]from an LCM [Landing Craft, Mechanized]. The Navy was probably transporting civilians that had surrendered after hiding in caves on Tinian and the surrounding islands. Photo probably taken in late 1945
