A Filipino home coverted into a souvenir shop in the Philippines in 1944

Gift of John M. Lynes Sr., from the Collection of The National WWII Museum
Description:

A Filipino home coverted into a souvenir shop. "Another of the Filipino homes converted into a shop. This one offered many of the regular souvenir items, plus some of their better woven cloth, a fabric they call pineapple cloth, very sheer, durable and colorful. Their prices incidentally are quite high although they will barter much of their goods for those of American make, and their women folk are extremely anxious to trade for American cosmetics."
