Official Caption: "Rome, 5/29/45--German labor leader--Dr. Robert Ley, former German Labor Front leader, wearing pajamas, is searched shortly after his capture by men of the U.S. Seventh Army, May 16, 1945, in a house 45 miles (75 kms.) from Berchtesgaden. He was arrested by two privates of the 502 Parachute Regiment, Seventh Army, who had been informed of his whereabouts by a civilian.
