Transplanting is well underway by 25,000 migrant workers and although the acreage is smaller this year than normally and fertilizer is scarce, the crop will be an [important] supplementary food supply for Italy. The Allied Military Government has [facilitated] planting by aiding in the transportation of workers, in supplying bags, twine [illegible] fertilizer.
