Items from the service of Sherman R. Spivey, who was born on 6 July 1917 in Kemp, Texas. Spivey enlisted in the Army on 14 September 1940 and served in the Army Air Force as an airplane maintenance technician. He left for the Pacific Theatre with the 41st Bombardment Squadron, 501st Bombardment Group in May of 1945 and returned stateside in November of 1945. He was Honorably Discharged on 1 December 1945. Collection includes seventy photographs, a few military documents, insignia, and a mess kit knife.
