Items from the service of Jeff E. Townsend, who was born on 10 October 1921 in Haskell, Texas. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on 26 January 1942. He trained at airfields in Midland, Texas and Lakeland, Florida. Townsend served with a flight crew in the 37th Bombardment Squadron, 17th Bombardment Group in the European Theatre, arriving in Italy in 1943. Collection includes a uniform, insignia, 45 photographs, and documents related to Townsend's service.
