This mule of the 35th QM Corps Pack Train, 4th Platoon, has 4 cases of 'C' Ration, weighing a total of 160 lbs, which will be transported 4 miles to the 323rd Inf Regt in Hunter Liggett Military Reservation, Calif. Mules were loaded at 89 D.S.A. Only 3 cases of 'C' rations are the prescribed load under G.I. regulations. HLMR MTN Man. 168-9-44-680."
