Items from the service of Joseph B. Johnson, who was born in Slidell, Louisiana on July 29, 1910. He enlisted in the United States Army as a private in the Air Corps on October 10, 1942 and served in the Middle East as part of the U.S. Army Forces, Africa-Middle East Theater (AMET) with the 1264th AAF Base Unit, 63rd Air Depot Group. The collection contains a scrapbook, ephemera, and over 300 souvenir photographs from Johnson's service in the Middle East.
