A heavily bomb damaged church in London's East End in 1944. '"This is a blitzed church in the much beaten east end. A closer view would have shown the choir loft and organ still standing. The loft is next to the steeple whose top is gone. Three streets joint here and there was a bomb shelter on the left corner. A hole blown into it when the church was hit was ignored until 4 p.m. the following day when it was blown to pieces by a delayed action bomb. Originally there were buildings on all the open spaces. Little three room buildings on all the open spaces. Little three room homes with no bathroom."
