Description:
Civilian refugees (probably the Chamorro/Chamoru people) from Tinian aboard a U.S. Navy LCT [Landing Craft, Tank]. Some men are visible but the crowd is predominately women and children, a goat can be seen aboard the ship as well. The Navy was probably transporting civilians that had surrendered after hiding in caves on Tinian and the surrounding islands. Photo probably taken in late 1945
