Official Caption: "Rome, 6/25/45--German prisoners catch up with the news--For the first time in many years, German soldiers confined in a U.S. Fifth Army prisoner of war camp in north Italy get factual news of the world. Edited by members of the Psychological Warfare Branch (PWB) of AFHQ [Allied Force Headquarters], 8000 copies of the daily 'Lagerpost' are being printed and the circulation is constantly increasing. Captured German equipment and prisoner of war technicians are used to publish the news received by radio and the PWB news service.
