Martin Winitzer served aboard the USS Pelias AS-14, which was a submarine tender. He joined the crew of the USS Pelias in September of 1944 and served as a Navy Photographer. Winitzer photographed the 1946 exercise to sink the USS Stewart DD-224 in the San Francisco Bay, California on 24 May 1946. Collection includes photographs, a scrapbook, and memorabilia related to Winitzer's naval service.
