Official caption: "ETO HQ 44 16136 Tonne 2 26 Sept. Credit...Signal Corps Photo. Medium tanks carrying 105 mm assault guns are made ready for front line action at a camp in England, just before this armored unit embarks for service on the continent. This unit is under the supervision of 1st Lt. Charles A. Gates, of Kansas City, Mo. 761st Medium Tank Bn., Wimbourne [sic], Eng."
