Fire bombs from U.S. Superfortresses find their mark on docks and warehouses at Osaka, Japan, during a daylight incendiary raid June 1, 1945. By June 21, Japan had been under sea bombardment for eleven days and had been attacked by air for 45 consecutive days and nights.
